With 15 years of experience, our work spans residential and small-to-midsize commercial

structures throughout the Tri-State area and Texas. We're looking for an experienced

Professional Engineer to join our team as an Engineer of Record (EOR) and take ownership of

projects from the initial client conversation through construction completion.

The Role

As an Engineer of Record, you will take the lead on structural projects from initial client

consultation through design, documentation, permitting, and construction completion. This is a

hands-on role that combines structural engineering, field inspections, client communication, and

project ownership.

You will work directly with homeowners, architects, developers, and contractors to evaluate

existing structures, develop practical engineering solutions, and deliver accurate, code-compliant

structural documents.

Texas P.E. licensure through comity is required. Candidates must be eligible for Texas licensure

and have all required documentation available to complete the process. Ozer Engineering will

support the candidate throughout the comity process.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record for structural projects from initial consultation through

construction completion.

• Perform site, structural, and crawlspace inspections; evaluate existing residential and

commercial structures; and identify structural deficiencies.

• Develop structural designs and construction documents based on field conditions and

project requirements.

• Design and analyze steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structural systems in accordance

with applicable codes and standards.

• Prepare, review, stamp, and seal structural drawings and documents with full

responsibility for accuracy and completeness.

• Coordinate with homeowners, architects, contractors, and developers; respond to

construction questions and field conditions.

• Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, deadlines, and cost-effective

solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Active U.S. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with eligibility for Texas licensure

through comity.

• 3–5 years of experience as an Engineer of Record with independent stamping and sealing

responsibility.

• Experience in residential and/or small-to-midsize commercial structural engineering.

• Strong design experience with steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry.

• Strong understanding of applicable structural codes and standards.

• Proficiency with Revit and familiarity with structural analysis/design software.

• Experience conducting site and crawlspace inspections and evaluating existing structures.

• Strong engineering judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work directly with homeowners, architects, contractors, and developers.

• Ability to manage projects independently from initial consultation through construction

completion.

• Willingness to work in person in Memphis, Tennessee.
