Tech - Pharmacy

Job Summary:


Provides technical support in the pharmacy by preparing, packaging, and delivering medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Ensures accurate medication distribution and maintains pharmacy inventory to support patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and labeling medications in accordance with prescribed orders.
• Package, stock, and restock medications while verifying accuracy and expiration dates.
• Process medication deliveries from wholesalers and suppliers, ensuring proper documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels, rotate stock, and remove expired medications from pharmacy shelves.
• Prepare IV medications following legal and safety guidelines.
• Support pharmacy operations by performing clerical tasks and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required; associate’s or technical degree preferred.
• Current state Pharmacy Technician license required in CA.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy setting preferred, with hospital experience a plus.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Board preferred in CA and OR.
• Valid BLS certification required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
