Rose Hill is a historic Virginia estate encompassing more than 300 acres, including formal gardens, specimen trees, woodlands, meadows, and agricultural land. We are seeking a talented, hands‑on, full‑time Garden & Grounds Manager to oversee the care, development, and long‑term stewardship of this remarkable property. The ideal candidate is passionate about horticulture, highly organized, and experienced in managing diverse landscapes in USDA Zone 7b. Responsibilities Manage and maintain formal gardens, perennial borders, and ornamental plantings. Oversee the health and care of mature trees, shrubs, and lawns. Monitor irrigation systems, soil health, and integrated pest management practices. Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and specialty vendors as needed. Maintain garden equipment and oversee horticultural supplies. Assist with preservation and enhancement of the estate’s historic landscape character.
