CDL Class A Truck Driver

Duties and Responsibilities The domicile driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload metal roofing panels to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor‑trailer. This is an over‑the‑road delivery driving position. Safely assist in the unloading of the product using a Moffett to customer's location and/or return products Deliver material in “route truck/multi-drop” fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact Perform pre & post‑trip inspections thoroughly Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines May perform other duties as assigned Job Details Base pay starts at $26.00 per hour Bonus $8,000 Shift: Day Shift Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License Have an acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record 2 years of previous tractor‑trailer driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable) Valid Medical Card Must be able to work independently Ability to work effectively with people in a fast‑paced environment Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of timeAbility to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Must be at least 18 years of age to apply Additional Information Site Address: 1463 Interplex Circle, Vicksburg, MS 39183 Benefits Full‑time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.
