Position Overview Optimize pharmacy operations through strategic purchasing and inventory management at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in main Columbus, MN. About the Role The Pharmaceutical Purchasing Analyst plays a critical role in managing the inventory, purchasing, and cost-analysis activities of the inpatient pharmacy. Responsibilities include overseeing the acquisition, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical supplies, utilizing advanced hospital software and systems, maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring compliance with contracts, managing pharmaceutical spending and reimbursement processes, and generating detailed reports to support financial and operational decision-making. The role requires collaboration with pharmacists, financial analysts, and external vendors to optimize purchasing strategies and improve operational efficiencies. Ideal Candidate Detail‑oriented Analytical skills Strong communication skills Knowledge of pharmacy inventory systems Problem‑solving ability Self‑motivated Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree –OR– five years of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician with experience in the areas of dispensing controlled substances, inventory control, and record keeping. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy and National Certification status of PTCB or within one year of hire. Preferred: Business, finance, or health science bachelor’s degree. Compensation and Benefits The estimated starting pay range for this role is $56,000.00 – $60,500.00, with actual pay depending on experience, education, certifications, and market conditions.
