WHAT YOU WILL DO: As a ServiceNow CMDB Engineer , the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program. You will play a crucial role in assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a ServiceNow CMDB solution. Duties and Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring high standards of data quality, consistency, and accuracy. Lead the development and implementation of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping processes to improve asset visibility and data integrity. Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective CMDB solutions. Establish and enforce CMDB governance policies, procedures, and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB, Discovery, and associated ServiceNow modules. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including workflows, configurations, and knowledge base articles. Support ServiceNow platform upgrades, patches, and performance optimization. Integrate CMDB with other ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Provide training and guidance to internal teams on CMDB usage, governance, and best practices. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer Senior must have: Certification: Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification Experience: 5+ years of related experience Technical skills: Strong expertise in ITSM processes and their integration with CMDB. Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, databases, etc.). Familiarity with data modeling, normalization, and data integrity concepts. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment Desired Qualifications: Experience with Linux server administration and MariaDB best practices. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - CMDB. Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs. Knowledge of ITIL v4 principles and practices. Familiarity with additional ServiceNow modules (ITOM, ITAM, SPM, ATF, etc.). Hands-on experience with Application Control and Compliance Verification (ACCV-V) for ensuring compliance and governance across IT assets. Experience with HAM/SAM processes, including asset lifecycle management, license compliance, software usage optimization, inventory tracking, and reconciliation and vendor audits. Desired certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified System Engineer. ITIL v4 Foundation Certification. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
