Position Overview
- Department: Med Surg
- Schedule - Multiple Options:
- Full-Time Nights: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Full-Time Weekend Days: Saturday & Sunday + 1 additional 12-hour shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Every Weekend Nights: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham

- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
