Dispatch Manager

A growing freight and logistics company based in Schaumburg, IL is seeking experienced Dispatch Managers to oversee Flatbed and Reefer operations. This is a full-time, in-office leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and has a strong background managing drivers, freight operations, and customer relationships. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on dispatch experience, strong operational leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage time-sensitive freight while maintaining excellent service levels. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage daily Flatbed and Reefer dispatch operations Schedule and oversee timely pickups and deliveries Communicate effectively with drivers, brokers, and customers Monitor load status and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently Ensure proper cargo securement and compliance for Flatbed loads Support driver performance, routing, and operational planning Maintain strong customer service and professional communication Assist with load planning, problem resolution, and daily dispatch support Work collaboratively with operations and leadership teams to ensure smooth freight movement Qualifications Previous experience in Flatbed and/or Reefer dispatch operations required Strong knowledge of OTR trucking operations and freight coordination Experience with cargo securement and Flatbed freight preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and make quick operational decisions under pressure Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Professional attitude and commitment to customer service What We Offer Bonus opportunities Stable freight and consistent workload Supportive and professional team environment Modern equipment and established customer base Opportunity to grow with a stable and expanding transportation company Salary dependent on experience.
