Human Resources Generalist

EDI, Inc offers a full-time, mid-level HR opportunity based onsite in downtown Milwaukee with a focus on supporting employees across the full lifecycle. In this role, you will help coordinate onboarding, benefits, payroll, employee records, and key HR reporting while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. You will also serve as an HR information resource and support recruiting activities as needed. Responsibilities Manage onboarding for new hires, including internal and external communications, ADP Workforce Now setup and task completion, HR Orientations, and scheduling and tracking required new hire training modules in the LMS. Process new employee benefit enrollments such as health, dental, vision, STD, life insurance, worksite lines, 401(k), and FSA, and provide support to staff with details of benefits offered. Coordinate internal notifications and updates for employee changes including position changes, name changes, desk moves, and related updates. Support offboarding activities by preparing separation packets, tracking and processing COBRA enrollments, and saving documentation and performance evaluations (from Performance Pro) to employee records for archival. Prepare, download, and reconcile monthly benefit bill invoices and submit them to the Accounting department for payment. Conduct monthly reviews and updates to employee eligibility benefit classes including PTO accruals, STD/LTD enrollment, and subsidized parking costs. Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now, including transferring funds to the 401(k) plan (Transamerica). Monitor that benefit data file feeds process correctly and work with benefit carriers to resolve enrollment issues. Track 401(k) contribution changes and loans to ensure accurate deductions and payroll processing. Update and respond to timekeeping training needs for new hires using ADP Workforce Now, serving as one of the administrators. Set up, track, and reconcile Open Enrollment and other qualifying events in the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now). Maintain and upload employment and enrollment records into employees’ personnel files in ADP. Create and download HRIS reports for compliance reporting, audits, census information, and non-discrimination testing. Ensure Total Rewards statement accuracy in ADP annually, including entering professional development amounts to be included in statements. Coordinate intranet and all-staff communications as directed by the Director of HR & Office Support. Assist with prescreening phone interviews for select positions and provide backup support for recruiting, including reference and background checks as needed, and advising hiring managers on Paycor and the hiring process. Attend and recruit at designated career fairs throughout the year, and perform other assigned HR or office operations tasks as needed. Requirements At least 2 years of HR experience. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (equivalent experience considered). Familiarity with the Windows Operating System and proficiency with MS Office , primarily Word and Excel . Exemplary attention to detail to ensure accurate results. Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills. Resourcefulness and critical thinking , with the ability to independently research and resolve problems. Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Paycor or other applicant tracking systems is a plus.
