Plant Automation & Power Distribution Technician

Who are we?
Summit Service Solutions is a skilled trades staffing partner with 20+ years supporting construction and manufacturing. We’re placing a technician for a long-term role at a manufacturing site in Lancaster, PA .

Full-time, first shift with pay at $30–$35/hour , based on experience.

What you’ll take onIndustrial power

• Install/modify distribution systems
• Set switchgear, transformers, disconnects, MCCs, and panels
• Run feeders and branch circuits for new machines
• Confirm voltage, phase rotation, and loads

Equipment and lines

• Connect and commission production equipment
• Relocate and reconnect existing assets
• Install motors, VFDs, control panels, and enclosures
• Pull and terminate power/control conductors
• Diagnose electrical/control issues to limit downtime

Automation

• Install and integrate PLC-controlled systems (Siemens)
• Wire sensors, limit switches, photo eyes, and field devices
• Verify communications and signal integrity
• Test and prove out equipment performance

Safety

• Electrical testing and system verification
• Comply with NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and GMP
• Maintain a safe, clean, production-ready area
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed

Experience in high-throughput environments—plastics, food & beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or similar—is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as an industrial/manufacturing electrician
• Fluent with prints: blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams
• Journeyman/Master license preferred
• Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation
• Own basic hand and electrical tools

Eligibility

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen (We are a drug-free company)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Blueprint Reading

Tools & tech

• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) — Siemens
