About the Role - Serve veterans and their families at the CalVet Los Angeles facility, addressing motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and home/community reintegration - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, SLPs, and caregivers - Maintain compliant documentation using Liri AI for evaluations, treatment notes, and home program plans - Participate in care conferences and individualized care planning
Schedule - Full-time schedule aligned with the 20252026 service year - Standard work hours with built-in planning flexibility and teletherapy options
Your Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations of fine/gross motor, sensory, and daily living skills - Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on client goals and medical history - Provide direct therapy sessions in clinic, teletherapy, and community settings - Train caregivers and staff on adaptive techniques, assistive technology, and home-program implementation - Document progress notes, discharge summaries, and home program updates in a timely manner
What You'll Need - Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program - California OT license (or eligibility to obtain one) - NBCOT certification preferred; OTR candidate welcome - Experience with neurological and orthopedic conditions in adult populations - Familiarity with adaptive equipment, splinting, and sensory integration techniques - Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
