Strategic Planning Analyst

The Strategic Planning Analyst will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: drafting strategic plans in collaboration with Osage Nation departments and programs, working with a team to develop long-term goals and strategic objectives for the update of the Osage Nation’s Strategic Plan, Resource Directory, and the Osage Nation Census, assist with synchronizing grant opportunities to meet the Chief’s goals and long term needs of the Nation’s operations and provide guidance and training to program managers to develop comprehensive approaches to implementing and accomplishing project and program goals.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in related field required; business, planning, project management, Master’s degree preferedAt least five (5) years of experience in the project planning and strategic planning requiredAt least five (5) years of experience in Tribal government requiredMust have excellent communication skillsMust be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, highly efficientMust have proven ability to manage complex processes and drive continuous process improvement while maintaining a big-picture mentalityMust have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend sound conclusionsMust be a self-starter, self-confident and assured in personal abilitiesMust obtain/develop familiarity of Osage Language and CultureMust be proficient with technology and report generationMust maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the NationMust be willing to travel to conferences and training sessionsMust be a strong communicator and effective in creating partnership agreementsMust maintain confidentiality at all timesMust be able to pass a criminal background checkMust be able to pass drug/alcohol testingMust have a valid driver’s license – may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehiclesRequires a high level of personal integrity and ethicsRequires familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulationRequires familiarity with strategic planning process and conceptsRequires familiarity with the concepts of budget development and complianceRequires familiarity with planning concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning and project managementRequires willingness and ability to learn new skillsRequires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programsRequires good interpersonal communication and team work skillsDuties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop long term plans in collaboration with department/program managersGather, analyze and report statistical findings regarding data/research/trends in order to present meaningful and valid information to grant writersPrepare maps/graphics/illustrations/diagrams/charts/tables/manuals in order to organize and communicate data for efficient distribution and referenceEngage Osage Nation members/employees/public to ensure activities align with the needs of the key stakeholdersSeeks and identifies sources of revenue and grant fundingDevelops long-term goals and strategic objectives for the Nation as well as specific programsRecommends financial and non-financial strategic alternativesDevelops and maintains operational plansStays abreast of contemporary self-governance practices and related legislative issuesRepresents and advocates for the Osage Nation Strategic Plan in relationship with the local communities, Osage Nation, state and federal governments, private agencies.Participates in appropriate community organizations and functions to obtain support for the attainment of Osage Nation Strategic plan goalsDevelops and recommends to Executive long-range plans consistent with population trends, cultural needs and the appropriate use of Osage Nation facilitiesOther duties as assigned by the Director #J-18808-Ljbffr Osage-Nation
