TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds Med/Surg RN in Quincy, Illinois, 62301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical-Surgical - Pediatric/Adult Women Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC within the last year - PALS certification Description: We are a blended unit with 20 beds. Our average census is approximately 11 patients, which can increase during the winter months. Depending on the severity of the RSV season, we typically have between 8 to 10 pediatric patients and 4 to 6 adult patients. During milder RSV seasons, we often care for more adult patients. The goal is for RNs to care for no more than 5 patients, depending on census and available staff. Core staffing consists of 3 RNs for the department. A centralized staffing office monitors census and acuity to determine unit staffing throughout the facility. Agency RNs will be the first to float if census is down and must be comfortable with adult patients. The charting system used is Allscripts and the medication system is Acu-dose. RNs will need to be PALS certified due to the patient population. ACLS certification is not required. There is a cancellation policy of 3 shifts per 13-week contract and 2 shifts per shorter contracts.
