We're hiring experienced Structural Ironworkers and apprentices for a variety of large scale, long term new construction projects in the Jacksonville, NC area! Ironworkers will be responsible for raising, placing, and uniting iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural framework. Ideal candidates will have an excellent safety record! We're looking for reliable and hard-working individuals that take pride in their work!

Responsibilities:

• Read specifications and blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors
• Hoist steel beams, girders, and columns into place, using cranes, or signal hoisting equipment operators to lift and position structural members
• Bolt aligned structural steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding into place
• Guide girders or other structural steel members to position them into place
• Cut, bend, and weld steel pieces, using metal shears, torches and welding equipment
• Fasten structural steel members to hoist cables, using chains, cables, or rope
• Force structural steel members into final positions, using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools
• Dismantle and assemble structures and equipment

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Pre-Employment Screening
• Relevant Experience 2+ years, 5+ years preferred
• Clean safety record
• Own basic handtools
