Weapons System Integration Engineer

Salary: $96,757 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required because of sensitive customer-related requirements.
• A bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, including aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, and at least five years of experience.
• Must be eligible for a Top Secret/SCI clearance and maintain it throughout employment.
• Familiarity with F/A-18 aircraft across all configurations is desired.
• Knowledge of Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems is desired.
• Prior military experience and knowledge of technical manuals are desired.
• Familiarity with Agile methods and the ability to work in small groups or Scrum teams are desired.

• Conduct requirements analysis and contribute to design reviews for F/A-18 and EA-18G weapons system integration.
• Perform system integration activities throughout the F/A-18 Block upgrade life cycle.
• Develop and carry out system evaluation procedures for laboratory integration events.
• Troubleshoot and verify system- and subsystem-level anomalies, and characterize and document anomaly reports for EO/IR subsystem integration as needed.
• Independently coordinate with all levels of the F/A-18 Integrated Product Team (IPT) and external organizations on weapons integration, project planning and scheduling, document preparation, engineering assessments, and integration planning.
• Attend and contribute to system milestone and technical interchange meetings as required.
• Identify and follow applicable processes and procedures to prepare documentation, including detailed procedures and data packages, for system-level milestones and tests in accordance with IPT standards and specifications.
• Lead and participate in reviews of system-level requirements, specifications, interface documents, and studies.
• Provide engineering analysis, recommendations, and solutions for complex system design and anomaly-correction challenges.
• Ensure test documentation is prepared in accordance with current standards and processes.
• Respond to inquiries from fleet operators and support personnel.
• Provide technically sound recommendations and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors on F/A-18 weapons systems.
• Communicate orally and in writing with the Block Manager, IPT management, and program sponsors.
