Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and finishes to a variety of industrial components, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to precision manufacturing processes, utilizing advanced painting techniques and equipment. Duties

• Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation, including sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
• Operate various spray guns, including conventional spray guns and airless paint sprayers, to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
• Mix paints, primers, and coatings accurately using basic math skills to meet specified color and texture requirements.
• Handle materials safely within warehouse environments, including materials handling and the use of forklifts when necessary.
• Perform quality control checks by visual color comparison and using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and finish quality.
• Maintain safety protocols by consistently wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, and respiratory protection during all painting operations.
• Conduct routine maintenance on painting equipment such as power tools, hand tools, and machining tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Support production finishing processes by inspecting finished surfaces for defects and performing touch-ups or repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with team members in lean manufacturing environments to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assist in auto body repair or auto painting tasks when required, applying industry-standard techniques for surface preparation and coating.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial painting, construction painting surface preparation, or auto body repair within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Proficiency with coating application methods including powder coating, conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, and finishing techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with production document interpretation to follow detailed work instructions accurately.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of safety protocol adherence, including PPE use, respirator fitting, and respiratory protection standards.
• Basic math skills for mixing materials and measuring coating thickness.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality standards in production.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members across various departments.
