By joining us, you're helping us fulfill our mission of keeping dollars in our local community, supporting over 300 local food vendors, and being a part of strengthening and enriching the people and planet around us.
Join us as a Produce Clerk! We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Produce Clerk at our Chestnut Hill location. This position is full-time with an anticipated 30-34 hours per week. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great customer service, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities include:
- Receive product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy.
- Stock, rotate, and cull produce as necessary
- Maintaining back-stock areas according to department standards.
- Maintaining produce displays
- Assist other clerks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Other duties as assigned by department head.
- Maintains safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations.
- Wears protective clothing as required for position.
- Understands and utilizes safe lifting procedures and proper step stools.
Requirements
- A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
- Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus.
- Great attention to detail.
- Good communication and people skills.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.
- Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
