Monday – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Training Schedule:
Selected candidates must complete training on First Shift (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM), Monday – Thursday, for approximately 2–3 months before transitioning to the assigned night shift.
Job Description
The Process Operator / Crane Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining various manual machines, production equipment, and material handling systems. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hand skills, and the ability to safely operate industrial equipment while meeting quality and production standards.
Required Skills & Responsibilities
- Operate and demonstrate basic knowledge of manual machines, including mills, grit blasting equipment, rollers, and related production machinery.
- Operate basic industrial equipment such as furnaces, air-flow stands, spot welders, and process equipment.
- Perform product and equipment movement using fork trucks, cranes, and hand trucks.
- Safely operate air tools, including grinders, air hammers, and other pneumatic equipment.
- Understand the impact of metal removal processes and how they affect the future reuse of parts.
- Perform basic quality checks using inspection tools, including micrometers, Pi tapes, depth gauges, and measurement equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures, production guidelines, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Successfully complete an assessment demonstrating manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating manual machining equipment such as mills and grit blasting systems.
- Ability to obtain Crane Operator and Fork Truck certifications/licenses.
- Experience using air tools, including grinders, air hammers, and polymer dispensers.
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely change remnant blast/coating media in 50-gallon barrels.
- Comfortable and capable of working outdoors as required.
- Ability to be fitted for and properly use a respirator when required.
