Responsibilities Demonstrate assigned driving operations for students on a regular basis. Oversee the safe operation and use of equipment when being used by students, ensuring that company policy and standards are adhered to. Supervise all assigned trainees and complete necessary documentation for each person, such as student attendance forms and training records. Provide in-person daily instruction to students in the following areas: full pre-trip inspection, basic control skills and road driving. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with no more than two moving violations in a 12-month period or no more than three in a 24-month period. Minimum 3 years of over-the-road or local commercial driving experience, and/or minimum criteria required to obtain instructor licensure within the applicable jurisdiction. Must pass and continuously maintain a U.S. DOT physical, a DOT drug test and hair follicle drug test, and agree to random and suspicion-based drug and alcohol screening. Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Physical, intellectual and leadership ability to deliver the company’s approved training and curriculum to students in classroom, full pre-trip inspection, basic control skills and road driving. Successfully complete all required new hire onboarding and training in a timely manner, as well as continuing education as required by the company. Benefits Average yearly pay: $57,000 (top performers can earn over $62,000). Annual range $25.61—$34.15 per hour. Full-time positions, standard M-F schedule, no weekend or holiday work.
