Position: Surgical Technologist

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)

Job Description

This position is for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support various surgical cases in a community hospital setting. Candidates should be adept in both outpatient and inpatient care, with a primary focus on orthopedic, neuro, and vascular procedures.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing various types of surgical assistance.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field during operations.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year as a Surgical Technologist.
• Types of Cases Required: Experience in outpatient, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgeries.
• Preferred Experience: Inpatient and trauma surgeries.
• Certifications: BLS required, National Certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to work weekends, with a requirement of 3 weekend shifts per schedule.

Additional Information

This role may require cover for night shifts and participation in on-call scheduling with a response time of 20 minutes. A flexible approach to scheduling and readiness to float between sister facilities is expected.

Interested candidates should be proactive in their request for time off, as all requests must be submitted upfront. Attendance at orientation is required, with an expected duration of 40 hours.

Skills Required

• Proficient in aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
• Experience with a range of surgical cases including but not limited to abdominal surgeries, orthopedic procedures, and endoscopic surgeries.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
