As the Staff Accountant , you’ll help create the magic behind the scenes as a part of our Finance division. We are looking for an organized professional with the ability to perform routine financial and accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment. In this role, strong communication and time management skills are essential when preparing financial reports, assisting with audits and budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts. If you are detailed-oriented and have a passion for accounting, this is the job for you!

Our Staff Accountant Will Also

• Assist with the month-end close for multi-state and multi-national affiliates (US, Canada, Puerto Rico)
• Report on the status of receivables for all funding sources and ensure revenue records are accurate
• Work with outside auditors and internal team to assist with annual audits and tax return preparation
• Record and review recurring journal entries relating to daily cash activity, accounts receivable, commissions, and sales tax
• Contribute to the development and documentation of new or improved processes and procedures
• Invoice various third-party transactions
• Prepare and review account and bank reconciliations
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging
• Assist with fiscal audits and comply with all regulatory standards
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience & Skill

• Degree in Accounting required
• 2-4 years of experience preferred
• Experience with Netsuite accounting software is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and a readiness to learn internal software and systems
