Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care in a Level 1 maternity unit specializing in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal stages.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Centricity and CPS charting systems.
• Monitor fetal well-being and respond promptly to any abnormalities during labor and delivery.
• Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines to ensure optimal patient-to-staff ratios.
• Educate patients and families about postpartum and newborn care practices.
• Adhere to safety protocols including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of obstetric nursing experience.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and obstetric patient care.
• Be flexible to work every other weekend and complete 24 hours of orientation.
• Exhibit strong charting skills within Centricity and CPS systems.
