Role Summary Associated Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Title Examiner Specialist to support commercial lending operations by reviewing title commitments, researching property records, and resolving title-related issues prior to closing. This role plays a key part in protecting the bank and borrowers from risk while ensuring transactions move efficiently and accurately. Ideal candidates are analytical, organized, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Key Accountabilities Research and analyze real estate records to verify property ownership and identify title-related issues Examine title commitments, judgments, and legal documents for accuracy and completeness Coordinate with title companies, processors, and internal partners to resolve outstanding title concerns Review appraisal reports and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy and compliance Summarize title findings and prepare reports outlining potential risks or discrepancies Maintain detailed records and communicate findings clearly to processors and closers Utilize county systems, websites, and courthouse records to conduct title and judgment searches Support timely loan processing by ensuring issues are resolved prior to closing Education & Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience 2+ years of title examining experience Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of property law, title terminology, and real estate documentation Preferred Experience supporting commercial lending or mortgage operations Familiarity with appraisal reviews and title risk mitigation processes Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment Why You’ll Love Working Here At Associated Bank, you’ll join a collaborative team that values accuracy, growth, and professional development.
