As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 11:00 PM - 04:00 AM Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun: 11:00 PM - 04:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and manage visitor and contractor entry in accordance with site procedures. Control access for trucks, drivers, and delivery personnel at gates, docks, and restricted areas; document arrivals, departures, and exceptions as required. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, access points, and loading areas to help identify unusual activity and report observations. Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
