Despachador de Policía Nivel Inicial

La Ciudad de Antioch está buscando candidatos para el puesto de Despachador de Policía en el Departamento de Policía de Antioch. El rol implica evaluar las respuestas según sea necesario en función de las solicitudes de servicio bajo supervisión general y realizar una variedad de tareas involucradas en la recepción, evaluación, priorización y transmisión de llamadas de servicio de emergencia y no emergencia 9‑1‑1 para las ciudades de Antioch y Brentwood, así como el Control de Animales de Antioch. También incluye la entrada de llamadas en CAD (despacho asistido por computadora), despacho de unidades apropiadas, coordinación de la respuesta del personal de emergencia, operación de equipos de telecomunicaciones, y la ejecución de tareas administrativas especializadas relacionadas con la preparación y mantenimiento y liberación de materiales de aplicación de la ley. Responsabilidades Evaluar respuestas a solicitudes de servicio según la necesidad. Recibir, priorizar y transmitir llamadas de 911 y no emergencia para Antioch y Brentwood. Ingresar llamadas en CAD y despachar las unidades apropiadas. Coordinar la respuesta de los departamentos de emergencia. Operar equipos de telecomunicaciones, incluyendo radio, teléfono y sistemas CAD. Realizar tareas administrativas especializadas sobre la preparación y mantenimiento de materiales de aplicación de la ley. Notificar y despachar al personal de Obras Públicas. Monitorear sistemas de seguridad. Testificar ante la corte cuando sea necesario. Requisitos y calificaciones Sin condenas por delitos graves; una condena menor puede resultar en descalificación y posibles sanciones laborales, incluida la terminación. Se requiere un certificado de escritura que demuestre una velocidad neta de al menos 45 palabras por minuto, validado en los últimos 12 meses. El certificado debe indicar un ejercicio cronometrado de cinco minutos, mostrar el número de errores, las palabras netas y las palabras brutas. No se aceptarán certificados de teclado en línea. El certificado debe presentarse en el momento de la solicitud. Demandas físicas y ambiente de trabajo Trabajo en oficina y/o centro de despacho de servicios de emergencia con amplio contacto público. Requiere trabajar en turnos de noche, fines de semana y días festivos; posibilidad de llamada de regreso o retención para mantener niveles de personal. Capacidad física y movilidad suficientes para trabajar en un entorno de oficina y centro de despacho: estar de pie o sentado por largos períodos; agacharse, doblarse, arrodillarse, agacharse, alcanzar y girar ocasionalmente. Capacidad para levantar, cargar y tirar de cantidades ligeras a moderadas. Operar equipos de oficina, teclado, auriculares y comunicarse verbalmente a alta intensidad.
