Because we're independent, we're not tied to one company — we represent a panel of top-rated carriers (including NYCM, Travelers, Progressive, Plymouth Rock, Foremost, American Modern, Hagerty, and Genesee Patrons) and shop the market to build coverage around each client. The Opportunity

We're hiring a fully licensed Insurance Agent to own and grow a book of personal and commercial business. This is a full-desk role: you'll quote, write, and service Home, Auto, and Commercial lines from first contact through renewal — a primary point of contact for our clients and a key driver of the agency's growth.

We welcome candidates across the experience spectrum — from seasoned producers to newer agents ready to take on a full book — as long as you're licensed and can run the desk.

Key Responsibilities

Quote & Bind: Assess client needs and prepare competitive quotes across our carrier panel for Personal (auto, home, renters, umbrella, specialty/valuables, classic auto) and Commercial (general liability, commercial property, workers' comp, business auto, professional liability, cyber) lines using EZLynx.

Advise & Sell: Present coverage options in plain language, recommend appropriate limits and endorsements, write new business, and round out accounts (e.g., bundling home + auto + umbrella).

Service the Book: Handle policy changes, endorsements, billing and claims questions, certificates of insurance, and day-to-day client requests with fast, professional follow through.

Retain & Remarket: Proactively review policies at renewal, remarket when it's in the client's interest, and keep retention high.

Manage Workflow: Track renewals, endorsements, and pending actions in monday.com; keep client and policy data accurate and compliant in EZLynx and Microsoft Office.

Carrier Relationships: Work directly with our carrier partners and underwriters to place and service business.

What We're Looking For

• Active New York Property & Casualty (P&C) producer license — required. (Life & Accident/Health license a plus.)
• Able to run a full desk independently across both personal and commercial lines. We're open on years of experience — what matters is that you're licensed and ready to handle the work.
• Working knowledge of EZLynx (or a comparable agency management system/rater) and Microsoft Office; monday.com a plus.
• A true sales-and-service mindset: organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and great with people by phone and email.
• Familiarity with the New York market and our carrier panel preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission on new business and ongoing renewal commissions — total target earnings of $60,000–$120,000+, scaling with your production and experience.

Full-time, fully in-office at our Rochester, NY office.
