JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Nurse's Office Assistant (Health Para)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 1. First Aid and CPR Certified
2. 2. Ability to develop significant relationships with students, and willingness and ability to work closely with parents.
3. 3. Skills, knowledge, and ability to work with a wide range of health problems.
4. 4. Experience in providing daily physical therapy is desirable.
5. 5. Ability to be flexible and adjust to many changing situations.

JOB GOALS:

Assist school nurse with maintenance and health and prevention of illness and injury.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. 1. Administration of daily medication as provided in school district policies.
2. 2. Assist with daily physical therapies under the direction, control and supervision of licensed personnel.
3. 3. Assist with daily hygiene as needed
4. 4. Provide first aid as needed
5. 5. Pediculosis checks daily as needed and documentation
6. 6. Assist nurse with record keeping
7. 7. Assist nurses with immunizations
8. 8. Assist with vision, dental, and hearing screenings
9. 9. Monitor heights and weights yearly
10. 10. Daily cleaning as needed
11. 11. Assist in provision of a safe and healthful school environment
