Production Scheduler

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Scheduler / Stamping Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations within a high-volume stamping environment. This role is responsible for developing production schedules, managing coil and blank inventory, and ensuring on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain stamping schedules, including coil and blank ordering to support production demands
• Monitor press performance to ensure alignment with daily production plans and adjust schedules as needed
• Review prior shift production results and communicate updates to leadership
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring materials and coils are available while minimizing excess
• Identify and escalate material shortages or production risks to prevent downtime
• Coordinate die changes by ensuring presses are supplied with required blanks
• Update production schedules at the end of each shift to ensure accurate line-up for the following shift
• Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery to customers (e.g., JSC, JEC)
• Support cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
• Identify opportunities for process improvement related to scheduling, inventory, and workflow efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in manufacturing, production scheduling, or material handling preferred
• Experience in a stamping or metal fabrication environment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Basic understanding of inventory control and production workflows
