Benefits Work‑Life Balance: Wednesdays Only Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Scrub Allowance Career Growth and Development Opportunities Key Responsibilities Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-rays. Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methods. Communicate with the doctor regarding opportunities for restorative and/or periodontal needs. Obtain and review dental history and records from patients, ensuring health history is updated for all returning patients. Qualifications Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license. X‑Ray/Radiology Certification where state regulations specify. Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide certification where state regulations specify. Working Environment & Physical Requirements This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood‑borne pathogens is possible. It requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending for up to 8 hours a day. You will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment, and must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
