Description & Requirements Metropolitan Veterinary Center in Chicago, IL offers a full‑time position for a Credentialed Veterinary Technician. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient care, leadership within the medical team, client partnership, and a supportive learning environment. Signing Bonus Certified Veterinary Technicians receive a $1,000 signing bonus. The position offers four ten‑hour shifts with a flexible schedule. Key Responsibilities Utilize your full skillset in providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing laboratory work. Lead and mentor the medical team, ensuring efficient workflow and supporting others' professional growth. Act as the primary point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and answering questions. Contribute to a positive culture through active participation in training, feedback, and upholding high standards. What You Bring Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program. Current state veterinary technician license in good standing. Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures. Calm, efficient approach in fast‑paced or stressful situations. Strong communication skills and passion for collaborative work. One year of veterinary industry experience preferred. Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly rate of $24–$31 depending on experience.
