Job Summary:
Largo, Maryland The organization is seeking a qualified Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position at a healthcare facility. The RN will provide specialized care for post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular patients, including immediate post-operative management, ventilator support, and invasive procedures. Candidates must bring their Maryland RN license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 3x12-hour nights (7:30 PM 8:00 AM), 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Maryland RN license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, minimum of 2 years of CVICU/open heart experience, adept in arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, ventilator management, invasive line care, and post-operative cardiac procedures
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge nursing, Epic EMR system, and 1+ year of patient ratio experience in a community hospital setting
• Additional Information: Candidates must be comfortable managing critically ill cardiac patients with complex interventions such as ECMO, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, and CVVHD/CRRT. Floating within scope is required, including coverage in sister units and lower acuity areas as needed. Flu vaccination is required.
