Physician Leadership Opportunity in Phoenix, AZ- Associate Market Medical Director

Job Summary ArchWell Health is a primary care organization focused on seniors, operating in communities with limited healthcare. The Associate Market Medical Director leads a group of providers within a market and combines patient care with leadership responsibilities. Clinical Duties Rendering outpatient primary care medical and consulting services for ArchWell Health patients Keeping and maintaining appropriate records of all professional services Appropriately documenting patient care, ensuring accuracy of records, encounter notes, diagnoses, and documentation Collaborating with care team members and other employees to maintain high‑quality care and excellent morale Ensuring a high-quality patient experience, minimizing wait times, and evaluating urgent needs promptly Participating in public relations, direct sales, or outreach events to engage the community and promote the ArchWell Health model of care Participating in clinical meetings, including reviews of hospitalized patients, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, and peer review activities Being available for call coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays as per the call schedule Associate Market Medical Director Duties Providing direct leadership to a subset of providers in the market, including monthly 1:1s, annual performance reviews, metric reviews, and addressing performance or behavior issues Conducting referral reviews, IDT rounds, and admission record reviews as needed to support direct reports and strengthen utilization management Partnering with operations to drive and execute workflows aligned with the ArchWell Health model Required Education/Experience M.D. or D.O. graduates Minimum two years of post‑residency experience (MD/DO) Minimum one year of recent, relevant value‑based care experience Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (required for physicians) Highly collaborative, enjoying care team leadership with a patient‑centric orientation Confident in delivering high‑quality primary care with attention to medical and social needs Passionate about caring for comorbid, elderly, or medically underserved populations Enthusiastic about being part of a fast‑growing organization Internal candidates must be in good standing with no disciplinary action in the past 12 months at ArchWell Health ArchWell Health is an equal opportunity employer.
