Travel Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,590–$1,700
• Location: Akron, Ohio
• Healthcare Setting: On-site diagnostic X-ray imaging
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Shift Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in diagnostic X-ray or the applicable specialty before beginning a travel assignment
• Permanent Ohio license in hand at the time of submission; applicable compact licenses may be accepted
• Active radiologic technologist credentials appropriate for diagnostic X-ray practice
• Active BLS certification
• All required certifications must be current, active, and without pending status
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, director, or other supervisory leader in the specialty
• Ability to complete required background screening, fingerprinting, and health compliance requirements within specified timelines
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccination are required; qualifying medical or religious exemptions may be reviewed
• Completion of a negative 10-panel drug screen with nicotine screening within 12 months of the start date, with annual updates as required
• Ability to complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety testing, with an acceptable score

Diagnostic Imaging Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with established imaging protocols and radiation-safety standards
• Position patients accurately and explain X-ray procedures in a clear, reassuring manner
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment while producing high-quality diagnostic images
• Verify patient identity, examination orders, and relevant clinical information before imaging
• Apply radiation-safety practices for patients, visitors, and healthcare team members
• Recognize image-quality concerns and repeat examinations when clinically appropriate
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the designated clinical systems
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team
• Maintain a professional, compassionate approach while supporting patients throughout their imaging experience
