Job Details Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week Shift: 8 hours per day Employment Type: Travel Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life, creating personalized, evidence-based treatment plans across hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment need. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license compliant with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical therapy experience (new graduates welcome). Other certifications or licenses may be required. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication. Read, write, and communicate in English. Follow written and verbal instructions. Proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities: moving equipment 50‑100 lbs, stationary position, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal: work effectively with diverse personnel. Technical: perform fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use equipment. Mental: cope with general public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, handle irregular schedules. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
