Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Job Details

• 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit,
• 6:1 patient ratio,
• Night shift, 18:45-07:15, three 12-hour shifts per week,
• Every other weekend required,
• Patient diagnoses include ortho, spine, and general medicine cases,
• Medication management includes pain management and insulin,
• RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration,
• APRN support available with self-scheduling,
• Uses Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required,
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Skilled in CPAP, PCA, feeding tubes, wound vac, and trach care,

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by condition,
• Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams,
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions,
• Provide patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning,
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as a mentor or preceptor,
• Promote teamwork and participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives,
• Comply with regulatory standards and participate in practice governance
