Sports Assistant NF-02.

Duties Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments. Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Assists with publicity of events and tournaments and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material. Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy, assists customers, and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking, and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomfort may exist. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have a valid Driver's License. Certificate of Medical Examination required. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. Highly Desired Candidate Qualifications One (1) year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. Highly Preferred Qualification Must have experience preparing athletic fields and various courts for league play, including setup, maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety and facility standards.
