In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. For more information, please visit SummaryThe HSS Orthopedics Now program provides consistent, immediate access for patients 12 years and older with an undiagnosed musculoskeletal injury or sudden onset of pain to be triaged, receive an initial diagnosis, and if appropriate, quickly connected to the right subspecialized level of care.The HSS Orthopedics Now Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) sees patients at an HSS location to triage, diagnose, treat, and when needed, refer patients to a higher level of care in an expedited timeframe.The NP/PA sees patients autonomously, in collaboration with, and with the support of HSS physicians. The NP/PA is an advanced practice provider who is licensed to practice their profession and provides a full range of primary, acute, and specialty healthcare services. The NP/PA is responsible for diagnosing and treating acute musculoskeletal injuries including, but not limited to:Bone, joint, or muscle injuriesStrains, sprains, minor dislocations, and closed fracturesPainful, swollen, or injured jointsBack and neck painOsteoarthritis (OA)Pediatric injuries (12 years of age and older)Sports InjuriesSteroid injections and joint aspirationsGeneral bracing and splintingThe Flex APP for HSS Orthopedics Now will be expected to provide planned coverage at our program's sites across the regional locations. Coverage planning will be made in advance of anticipated shifts.
