Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 1st Shift Salary: $39.34 with a $3.50 Shift Premium Job Type: Full Time Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment in a cookware manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and work on all machines and equipment. Perform mechanical repairs to all machines and equipment, including alignment of machine spindles, slides, and ways. Replace bearings, shafts, gears, and other components. Repair hydraulic and pneumatic valves and controls, pressure regulators, pumps, tools, and related systems. Assist in solving machine problems in production equipment, including operating machines to troubleshoot issues. Adjust, align, patch, or replace drives, conveyors, and related mechanisms. Inspect and repair hoists, cables, hooks, and shafts. Perform all required preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on specified machinery and all manufacturing equipment. Assist in the movement of machines, fixtures, materials, and equipment. Fabricate components for new machines and installations. Read and understand schematics, diagrams, and specifications. Work from blueprints, sketches, or replicate original parts; occasionally make parts without drawings. Fabricate replacement parts requiring welding, cutting, or sheet metal work. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery commonly found in the maintenance department. Operate precision measuring equipment with standard competence. Work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision. Qualifications Accredited Journeyman credentials in machine repair or millwright classifications, or equivalent training and industrial experience. 9 years of experience preferred but not limited to.
