Job Title: Specialist, Cyber Intelligence - ISSO Job Code: 41888Job Location: Palm Bay, FLJob Schedule: 9/80 Reg: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description:Join the frontline of cyber defense supporting classified government networks as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). In this role, you will help safeguard mission-critical systems by supporting Assessment & Authorization activities, continuous monitoring, system hardening, configuration management, and security compliance under RMF, ICD 503, and NISPOM guidance. You will also investigate security incidents, identify and remediate control gaps, maintain a strong security posture across assigned systems, and deliver security training that strengthens awareness and resilience across the organization.Essential Functions:Maintain Assessment & Authorization (A&A) documentation of assigned systemsPerform security control assessments and execute Continuous Monitoring PlansWork with IT and system administration organizations to develop device and system hardening guides following DISA STIGs and NIST guidelinesResponsible for the tracking and resolution of POA&MsManage the incident response process for areas of responsibilityDevelop new concepts, standards, and training material which make significant and impactful improvements to processes, systems, solutions, or productsLead inventory and asset management discovery and tracking activitiesWork with site leadership to improve the security posture of systems and the facilityQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experienceActive Top Secret/SCI security clearance with CI PolygraphPreferred Additional Skills:Active full scope polygraphWillingness to submit to a full scope polygraph investigation (current polygraph preferred)DoD 8140.03 certificationMinimum 6 years of prior relevant experience to include experience with networking equipment; experience interpreting vulnerability scanning results; experience reviewing workstation, server, firewall, & IPS logs; experience with SIEM toolsExperience as an ISSO managing cybersecurity on classified systems under multiple agencies’ JSIG, NISPOM Ch8, ICD 503, and/or NIST 800-53 implementationsExperience developing, managing, and providing evidence to close POA&Ms associated with the A&A and project management processesExperience with workstation and server operating systems, including but not limited to Microsoft and Linux offeringsFlexibility to adjust to chaning requirements, schedules, and prioritiesAble to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gain team consensusExcellent time management and task prioritizatoin skillsExceptional verbal, written interpersonal and presentation skills, customer relationship building skills, analytical skills, and ability to lead/mentor teammates.
