Job Title: Manufacturing Planner Job Description

Maintain an effective flow of the work order system and assist in developing a comprehensive program to meet facility needs. This role involves collaborating with the Maintenance Manager to plan shutdowns and organize parts needed for each job, while adhering to company safety policies and procedures. Taking ownership and care of company property is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the work order system, ensuring accuracy in Maintenance Connection.

• Ensure work orders are issued to corresponding supervisors daily.

• Coordinate work for fab shop team members and shutdown work with the Maintenance Manager.

• Oversee kitting of parts for scheduled work and order necessary parts.

• Assist in maintaining inventory in the storeroom and reordering parts for stocking levels.

• Review and finalize work orders in Maintenance Connection before closure.

• Enter work orders in Maintenance Connection as needed.

• Review work orders to ensure frequency matches needs and adjust accordingly with managerial approval.

• Assign a couple of work orders weekly to maintain workflow.

• Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors about stock procurement and availability.

• Receive all inventory/non-inventory items timely.

• Ensure electronic inventory system scanning equipment functions efficiently, providing manual sign-out sheets if needed.

• Perform other duties and assist in projects as directed by the manager.

• Escalate concerns or problems requiring managerial approval immediately.

• Comply with company policies, food safety, quality, GMP's, and safety standards.

Essential Skills

• Reading, Writing, Math, and English at a high school level.

• Knowledge of inventory control.

• Three years' experience as a Planner/Scheduler or equivalent relevant experience.

• Experience in computerized maintenance or stockroom systems (SAP, MP2, Maintenance Connections, etc.).

• Industrial knowledge.

• Ability to work rotating shifts.

• Effective communication skills.

• Forklift operation proficiency and ability to obtain a COS forklift certification.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, CMMS, etc.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a supply chain and production scheduling environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lyons, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
