Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a healthcare facility is responsible for providing advanced emergency care to patients in urgent and critical conditions. The role involves managing a high volume of patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring prompt assessment, treatment, and stabilization of various acute illnesses and injuries.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC; must have a valid state license; pending licenses are not accepted
• Education Requirements: At least 1 year of relevant experience required
• Specialty: Emergency Room
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Experience: 0 years minimum (recommended 1 year)
• Float: Float rotation may be required. Travelers will cover Observation Unit which is ER Hold patients
• Responsibilities include managing conditions such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, blood product administration, burns, ventilated patients, chest tube management, intracranial pressure monitoring, infectious diseases, stroke, trauma, and more
• Must be willing to work 3 out of 6 weekends and to commit to specific scheduled holidays as outlined
• Submission requires at least 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years and a response to whether the candidate has prior experience at a Providence facility, including location and dates worked
