Staff Accountant

The Beall Corporation is a Hawaiʻi-based commercial real estate firm specializing in integrated leasing, property management, and asset management services across Oahu, Maui, Big Island, and Kauai. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing commercial real estate portfolio. This role works closely with property management, brokerage, and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, operational accountability, and efficient execution across multiple properties and entities. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Provide accounting support to the property management and brokerage team Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections, including progress-style billing Assist in monthly financials and other accounting reporting Prepare monthly financial statements, cash projections, and variance reports Post charges, adjustments, and generate monthly statements Handle management fees, distributions/contributions, and tax reporting (GET/GRT) Support in the preparation of budgets and reconciliations Support month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation Partner with property management to resolve billing issues and ensure accuracy Coordinate with internal teams on brokerage, accounting, and operational matters Help ensure a high level of client and tenant service through responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably corporate accounting, and reporting required. Real estate, retail, construction, or related industries a plus Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable/accounts receivable workflows, budgeting, and general accounting principles Experience with Yardi, accounting, or property management software systems a plus Interest or experience in system improvements, process optimization, automation initiatives, or technology-enabled workflows a plus Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across departments and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical team members Capable of prioritizing efficiently. Comfortable learning new systems, technologies, and operational workflows as the Company continues to grow CPA or CPA-track candidates are a plus, but not required Must currently reside in Hawaiʻi Must be able to work within specified deadlines. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
