Oncology Field Medical, Director Thoracic (non-MD)

Pfizer Inc

Pfizer seeks a field-based scientific expert to support thoracic oncology initiatives in Southern California. The director will engage healthcare providers, deliver medical education, identify clinical trial sites, and bridge emerging evidence with clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement with assigned healthcare provider customers
Deliver approved medical and scientific education on Pfizer oncology medicines and thoracic topics
Identify priority customer segments and clinical trial sites, including those serving underrepresented populations
Lead advisory boards and manage inbound medical inquiries from healthcare providers
Cultivate expertise in disease state literature, latest congress data, and study design principles

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in health science (required)
PharmD/PhD with 6+ years experience, or MBA/MSc with 8+ years, or BA/BSc with 10+ years
Current Southern California residency
Recognized subject matter expert in oncology and thoracic disease states
Ability to manage multiple projects remotely with strong prioritization and judgment
Proficiency with digital tools and medical interaction documentation
Availability to travel 60-80% including regular flights and car travel
