Location: Charlotte, NC Shift: Full-Time | 10-hour or 12-hour shifts

Primary option: Four weekday shifts, MondayFriday, approximately 6:30 AM5:00 PM

Alternative: Two weekdays and one weekend day, approximately 6:30 AM7:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Electrophysiology Specialist to support invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced procedural environment. This position works closely with physicians and the clinical team, providing scrub assistance, patient monitoring, circulating support, and other procedural care.

The ideal candidate will have a background in cardiovascular technology, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or a related allied health specialty, with previous procedural or operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures.
• Perform scrub assistant, monitoring, and circulating responsibilities during procedures.
• Provide evidence-based care focused on patient safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Monitor patients and respond quickly to changes in clinical condition.
• Administer medications under direct physician supervision, as appropriate.
• Calculate, interpret, and analyze clinical and procedural data.
• Accurately document patient status, procedures, interventions, and other required information.
• Communicate relevant clinical information to physicians and members of the healthcare team.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Participate in departmental committees and governance activities as appropriate.
• Follow radiation safety, infection control, and other procedural safety standards.

Qualifications / Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary Technology, Cardiovascular Interventional, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or comparable Allied Health program.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist may be considered where applicable.
• Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist and/or Electrophysiology Specialist experience or training preferred.
• Procedural or Operating Room experience preferred.
• Experience assisting with invasive cardiac, EP, vascular, or similar procedures highly desirable.
• Ability to perform scrub, monitoring, and circulating functions in a procedural environment.
• Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to function effectively during high-pressure situations.
• Ability to quickly recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Must be comfortable working around radiation, blood, bodily fluids, and other potential clinical exposures.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while wearing approximately 1020 pounds of lead radiation protection.
• Ability to lift and support up to 50 pounds when handling patients, equipment, and supplies.
• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
