Role Description The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position located in New York, NY, responsible for providing overall strategic direction and operational leadership for the Institute of Contracts and Claims Management. The Owner oversees financial planning and budgeting, manages key stakeholder relationships, and ensures compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves leading and mentoring staff, establishing partnerships with industry organizations, and representing the institute at conferences, events, and client meetings. The Owner also monitors market trends in contracts and claims management to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and continuous improvement in the institute’s offerings. Qualifications Strong background in contracts and claims management, including experience with contract negotiation, administration, and dispute resolution. Proven leadership and organizational management skills, with experience overseeing teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives. Business development and relationship management abilities, including building partnerships, managing clients, and representing an organization publicly. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and engage diverse stakeholders. Solid understanding of relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks affecting contracts and claims. Experience in education, training, or professional development programs is beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in law, business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications in contracts or claims management are an advantage.
