Food Service Assistant

Participate in the preparation and service of food, including hot entrees, salads, sandwiches, salad bar, fresh fruit, and a variety of other foods. Assist in setting up food preparation lines. Assist in maintaining the food service facility in a safe, clean and sanitary condition in accordance with established sanitation standards. Operate dishwasher and other serving equipment. Clean kitchen equipment and wash serving and food preparation areas in accordance with sanitation standards. Ensure that all food is handled properly and safely. Assist in receiving and storing of food items, supplies, and materials. Work efficiently and effectively. Ability to function as part of a cohesive team. Perform other duties as assigned. Attendance and punctuality are critical functions of this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High school graduate or equivalent

- One year of food service experience preferred

- Excellent customer service skills

- Able to remain calm under stress in a busy setting

- Valid WA food handlers permit
