Night Sanitation Associate – Food Production

Job Summary
The Night Sanitation Associate is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production equipment, machinery, workstations, and facility areas to ensure a safe, clean, and food-safe environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards while preparing the facility for the next production shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, conveyors, floors, walls, and work areas according to sanitation procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for thorough cleaning when required.
• Safely operate sanitation equipment, including pressure washers, foamers, and other cleaning tools.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals and sanitizers while following proper handling and safety procedures.
• Remove trash, food waste, and debris from production areas.
• Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately and on time.
• Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness meets company and regulatory standards.
• Report maintenance concerns, equipment damage, or food safety issues to supervisors immediately.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP guidelines, OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift.
• Perform additional cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, or food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and reach for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working around water, cleaning chemicals, and wet surfaces.
• Ability to work in cold, or refrigerated production environments.
