Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and programmable logic controls. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and systems, leading to minimal downtime and optimal productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Maintenance:
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, drives, and control systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests on electrical equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
• Install and upgrade electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers.
• Electronic Maintenance:
• Diagnose and repair electronic control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) devices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement electronic solutions for process improvements and troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation of electronic schematics and updates to ensure accuracy.
• Mechanical Maintenance:
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical components, including conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs and ensure optimal mechanical performance.
• Oversee the assembly and disassembly of machinery as necessary for maintenance and repair.
• Programmable Logic Controls (PLC):
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems to ensure effective automation of manufacturing processes.
• Work with software platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi to develop and modify PLC programs as needed.
• Coordinate with IT and engineering teams to integrate PLC systems with other software and hardware.
• General Maintenance Functions:
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance procedures and processes.
• Team Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with production staff to identify maintenance needs and improve equipment reliability.
• Provide training and support to junior technicians and operators on equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance schedules, inventory needs, and project updates.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical License, PLC Certification) are a plus.

Skills:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures.
• Capable of standing, bending, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
