Tooling Technician - 1st shift

Job Description

As a Tooling Technician, you will perform comprehensive maintenance on press molds and Liquid Silicon Rubber molds. This includes tasks such as pin replacement, hinge replacement, disassembly, assembly, cleaning, and ensuring proper storage. You will be responsible for maintaining and organizing spare components for all molds and completing all required documentation as per the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on press molds and Liquid Silicon Rubber molds, including pin and hinge replacement.
• Disassemble, assemble, clean, and store molds properly.
• Maintain and organize all spare components for molds.
• Complete and keep current with documentation required by the Quality Management System.
• Perform tool evaluations and generate work orders if necessary.
• Interpret tool conditions and their effects on Line Check Data and IQMS.
• Adhere to proper mold storage practices.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality verification processes.
• Be willing to cross-train as a Process Technician.
• Participate in communication meetings.
• Assist in facilitating molds moving in and out of the building, ordering spare parts, and scheduling suppliers for mold repairs.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Follow standard work procedures and document daily activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in mold repair and die repair.
• Proficiency in quality inspection using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding experience.
• Machining experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Twinsburg, OH.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
