BACKGROUND: Canyon Fuel Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Wolverine Fuels, LLC, has an immediate opening for a full-time Mine Engineer. We are an underground coal mining company with operations in Central Utah, located within close proximity to Salina, Huntington, and Price Utah.
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Assist the Engineering department to provide various engineering support activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Proficient understanding of engineering principles (soil/rock mechanics, steel design, hydraulics/pump networks, ventilation, conveyors, electricity, economics)
Excellent computer skills (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining/Civil/Mechanical) or equivalent experience
Engineer in Training (EIT)
Professional Engineering License (PE)
Experience in underground continuous and longwall mining methods
Experience in project management
POSITION WILL REPORT TO: Engineering Manager
